PARC – FEATURED ACTIVITIES

Protecting land, supporting livelihoods
PARC works with vulnerable farming families to rehabilitate agricultural land at risk of confiscation, particularly in Area C.
By restoring and cultivating land, communities are able to protect their property while strengthening their livelihoods and food security.
Activities include land rehabilitation, installation of irrigation systems, construction of stone walls and distribution of seeds and seedlings — with a strong focus on supporting women farmers and smallholder households.

Strengthening community resilience
PARC supports the creation and training of Community Protection Committees (CPCs), made up of local volunteers from different sectors of the community.
These committees are trained to identify risks, respond to emergencies and develop local protection and disaster risk reduction plans.
By building local capacities and working closely with institutions and municipalities, this approach strengthens community preparedness, coordination and long-term resilience.
